Specialized Expertise

Our clients are looking for more than just performance. They want a true partnership; they want to work with an advisor who understands their desires and dreams.

We know we do our best work when we can see the world through our clients’ eyes. Only then can we be sure that our strategy and execution is aligned with our clients’ best interests.

Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone else planted a tree a long time ago.
— Warren Buffett, noted value investor

Our clients have a variety of backgrounds, interests and goals for their wealth, and our holistic wealth management model has proven to be particularly attractive to three types of investors:

Entrepreneurs

Women Investors

Sustainable Investors

Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs face unique challenges and opportunities when it comes to managing their wealth. A standard, balanced portfolio neglects their complete wealth picture. Entrepreneurs often carry significant risk – and even greater opportunity for reward – in their business. As a result, their goals often differ from those of other types of investors. FinArc understands that this dynamic is critical to shaping an entrepreneur’s portfolio, and we utilize this insight when partnering with these clients.

At FinArc, we also understand that building a successful organization takes time. We are committed to developing long-term partnerships, walking with entrepreneurs from business launch through exit. The greatest asset for entrepreneurs is frequently their business, and the FinArc Financial Goal Plan can reveal the impact of selling your business at different valuations or payment structures so that you understand your ability to realize your personal financial goals. If you need to build greater value in your business, FinArc’s network of expert advisors at Exit Planning Exchange can show the way.

Many entrepreneurs have the majority of their wealth invested in their company, limiting their ability to engage a financial advisor for their investment portfolios. FinArc can help such investors by recommending employer-sponsored retirement plans for their companies and incorporating the business itself into a personal financial goal analysis. And when an entrepreneur decides to sell the business, we’re here to help with the transition, ensuring the process is managed thoughtfully and intelligently.

FinArc also offers entrepreneurs advantages, including through our relationships with many successful entrepreneurs and related service providers. We often serve as the conduit between clients and industry experts who can lend personal and professional guidance. Our primary motivation is with the goal of enhancing our clients’ wealth picture ; we do not accept nor pay referral fees for these introductions.

Women Investors

Since our inception, FinArc has stood out as the advisor of choice for many women investors. As a firm founded by an entrepreneurial woman with personal interests in advancing women in the workplace, we are committed to helping women investors take a proactive role in understanding and managing their finances and developing a strong plan for the future.

FinArc is a trusted partner for women investors seeking to take more control of their wealth. We understand the specific challenges and opportunities women investors face in today’s environment, including personal and professional priorities that can sometimes seem to be at odds with each other. We work closely with these clients to understand their goals, and we help them feel informed and empowered to make educated financial decisions.

With this in mind, we stand by our pledge to every woman investor: We will listen to you, we will get to know you, we will understand your goals, and we will work with you to develop an investment path tailored to meet your needs.

Sustainable Investors

Today’s investors are more aware than ever of the causes and organizations their dollars are supporting. They are directing their assets away from companies that harm the environment or treat employees unfairly, looking instead for those that make the world a better place. Being a good corporate citizen is a common business focus – not only because of social and moral perceptions, but also because these issues can also influence results.

From our start in 1990, FinArc has specialized in sustainable investing (also known as socially responsible investing (SRI) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing). Clients can customize their portfolios to reflect the social issues that are important to them, such as caring for the environment, avoiding tobacco manufacturers, and advancing women and minorities to senior management positions.

While it is true that this style of investing requires additional research, FinArc offers this option at no additional cost to clients. Through sustainable investing, our clients seek to integrate their values into their portfolios and we are proud to support them in this effort. By directing their savings toward ethical companies, they effectively reward good social practices. Sustainable investing sends a message to management that these issues are important to shareholders and they should be addressed. For a copy of our Sustainable Client Questionnaire please contact us at info@finarc.com.
